Flag Football Training Camp

Session 1: July 7-11 (Tam High)

Session 2: July 14-18 (Tam High)

Program Description

This camp helps prepare students to play in the AAU fall Kinex Flag-football league. All students are welcome to register for this Introductory Kinex Flag-Football Training Camp. This is a fast action flag football camp that teaches flag football fundamentals and skills. Players will be instructed in proper throwing, catching, blocking and fundamantal receiver running routes. After the individual skill building games and tachnique training we break into 5 on 5 teams and teach offensive and defensive strategies and plays. Each afternoon we play a round robin Flag Football tournament. At the end of the day we teach players how to stretch and take care of their bodies after a hard day of training.   On really hot days we teach flag football cross training techniques in the pool. As is the case with all Kinex sports challenges we use special balls that help support good throwing and catching mechanics that is developmentally appropriate. The last 10 minutes of each class is devoted to group discussions about the games and any good sports issues that naturally come up during the camp day.

Format

We split groups up into Elementary grades 2 & 3, Elementary grades 4 & 5, Middle School grade 6, Middle School, Grade 7 & 8. One coach for every 10 players.
