Kinex Fun Club: Sport-Bike-Art-Play Camp The Fitness-Sport-Art-Bike-Play talent development camp for youth FEATURING:
CAMPER PROFILE: Physically active children and their friends entering K-6 in the fall 2008. LOCATION: Corte Madera, Town Park (June 15th thru August 14th) Mill Valley, Mill Valley Middle School (June 15th thru Aug 14th) Note: we meet Mondays and Tuesdays at Corte Madera Town park and Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at Mill Valley Middle School on certain weeks. Please call for more info 847-5906 DESCRIPTION: At our Fun Club Camp the fun never stops. We teach Kinex Campers greater kinesthetic intelligience using all the best practices from educational kinesiology, developmental motor learning theory, sports and coaching sciences. Our friendly and knowledgeable coaches and consellors engage each Kinex Camper to play and learn athletic and artistic skills all while having fun no matter what their age or current abilities. Some days we will take the Kinex Van and take 6-10 children to local 1 hour hikes to visit the horses on horse hill or cool off at the Three Wells in Cascade Canyon, play capture the flag in the Redwoods in Blithedale Caynon. We use fun and exciting training techniques and games that really help kids learn how to uncover and develop their “inner athlete" and "inner perfomer". Our facilitators help uncover each child's unique talents and guide them in developing their personal gifts in athletic and the performing arts. Young athletes develop positive self talk strategies that supports their athletic and performing arts skill development. We also use video feedback onsite so campers can see exactly how they perform new skills or change old ineffective movement habits. Through our proprietory Kinextions Dialog Process. Our coaches help guide Kinex campers to make important connections between, self-talk and movement skill performance, interpersonal communications and the unified “team mind”. We help young athletes and performers of all ages to identify the bodily felt sense of performing “in synch” in their coordinated body movements, “in synch” in their movement skills and self-talk, and “in synch” in their player-to-player relationships, and ultimately “in synch” and in the “zone” as a unified “Body-Mind-Team”. Each Friday is Beach day at Kinex. We head to Sausalito beach for children in grades K-2 and Muir Beach for children in grades 3-7 to train and play at the beach. Pick-up is at Sausalito or Muir Beach Parking lot on Fridays at 3:00 PM. We also have a Van that returns with campers staying for the Kinex Extended Day Services. You can choose if you would like to go on any of the daily field trips we offer where we transport campers in the Kinex Van too cool places in and around Mill Valley and Corte Madera.
Each day kids will get a chance to choose between 5 different activities every hour. Kids can try the new extreme boarding sport of street surfing (in-line skateboarding), slamball basketball, ultimate obstacle course, flag football, low ropes course challenges, street hockey, orienteering outdoor adventure explorations, biking and swimming, wii sports, dance dance revolution and are just a sample of what there is to do at the Kinex Fun Club Camp. FEES: 1. Daily: $65 per child 2. Weekly: $300 per child 3. Kinex Fun Club Flex Pass: $800 for 20 anytime Kinex Fun Club days All options include as much fun as your child can have with all our onsite camp activities, materials and 2 thirst quenching sport drinks and 2 healthy energy snacks from the Kinex Cafe. You can send your child with their own lunch or for just $5 more a day you can choose from our online Kinex Cafe lunch menu something that will satisfy and enrgize your child through their Kinex Fun Club Camp day. |
