TRACK & FIELD DAY EVENT DESCRIPTION

Kinex Academy is pleased to present the 2nd Annual Mill Valley schools competitive track & field team championships. Parents can drop-off their children for the day or can stay and watch their Little Olympian compete in between 1-10 events of their choice. Be sure to send your child with a lunch or money to buy lunch at the snack bar.

Format

Each school location will form teams of 10 athletes Kindergarten through 5th grade with a boy and girl from each grade on each team. There can be as many as 50 children or 5 teams from each school. Each Team of 10 athletes will compete as a relay team in all 10 events. Scoring for teams are cumulative times from running events and measured distances from throwing and jumping events. There are also individual events for each age group K-5.

Schedule

10:00 A.M.	Little Olympian Parade
10:30 A.M.	50 meter dash team relays
11:00 A.M.	Hammer Throw, Javelin, Shot Put
12:00 P.M.	LUNCH BREAK
12:30 P.M.	Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault Long
2:00 P.M	Steeple Chase Teddy Bear Relays
2:30 P.M.	Team Awards & Medals, Closing Ceramonies

Fees

$50 entrance fee for 5 hours of all the fun and excitement of an olympic style track and field day
