Kinex After School Slamball Basketball Association League (KASSBAL) is our competitive basketball league with an attitude. We offer this basketball league for boys and girls in grades 1-8 at schools throughout Marin County. The Kinex brand of basketball provides an opportunity for Kids to try playing like a pro with exciting slam dunks, ally-opps and great basketball moves used by some of their favorite pro basketball players. We use developmentally appropriate rules, smaller basketballs and lower hoops so to help children and youth develop biomechanically correct basketball skills and self confidence right from the start. If you’ve ever tried to change old habits you can appreciate the importance of learning something right the first time instead of spending hours and hours of frustration trying to break the bad habit later in life. Check out the Old Habits Die Hard Demonstration to be reminded of the challenges everyone experiences when trying to break old habits.

We establish school based basketball club teams that play each other during a 10-12 week sports season in Southern Marin. Teams practice right after-school and game days are after school on early dismissal days during the week or Friday evenings between 5:00-7:p.m.

We also offer Kinex Academy shuttle service for away games for families unable to transport their children to games on early school dismissal days. Kinex Academy Shuttles are available to transport teams to away games at other school locations for a flat fee of $25.00/team

After the Kinex Championship (CMVC) there will be the Kinex Academy awards ceremony honoring the top three teams and Most Improved Team from grades 3 to 5 and special awards for players displaying Good Sportsmanship, Most Improved Athlete, MVP, Best Team Player awards and the Players Choice Award.
