This program introduces children between the ages of 5 and 11 to physical fitness through trail running, scavenger hunt team races and training techniques that encourage the development of a healthy active lifestyle. With the emphasis being on fun and fundamental running technique, this Steeple Chase/Cross Country program introduces basic athletic skills of running and jumping. Participants will be exposed to a variety of running technique games like agility tag, steeple chase, parachute running, trail running and heart monitor running.

For children who want to try competative team steeple chase/cross country races we offer 4 different events. We will hold a school steeple chase event at each school and then a school district wide championship cross country meet with appropriate distances for each age group. Top athletes from each team who qualify are then eligible to compete in the Kinex All Stars Adventure Cross Country Championship event. This program is specifically developed around elementary school aged children.
